3-Month Internships in Italy! Hurry up, openings go quickly!
The Amity Teaching Abroad Program is looking for people interested in education and willing to take part in unpaid internships in some of the most prestigious Bilingual Schools in Northern Italy.
Qualifications:
Minimum 21 years of age
Currently enrolled in higher education or recent graduate
Career goal in education
No Italian required but preferred
Cost to the Participant:
Round trip ticket
Travel Insurance (approximately $95 for 3 months)
Personal spending money
$200 Program Fee, due upon acceptance of an internship
Accommodation / Meals / Duration / Transportation:
Participants stay with a host family that will provide them with full board and a single room at no cost. The program offers internships for 3 months only. Assistance with transportation to and from the airport and to and from the school is provided at no cost.
Assignment Terms:
- From Mid-September 2011 to Mid-December 2011 in the following school setting:
Elementary School in Milano, Italy
High School in Milano, Italy
Elementary/Middle School in Crema, Italy
High School in Como, Italy
Assisting a Supervising Teacher for approximately 30 hours per week:
- Teaching Songs; Working with conversation groups; Serving as an in-class pronunciation model; Giving cultural presentations; Organizing a language club, etc.
Applicant will be asked to collaborate and support the teachers within the classroom, creating unique cultural subjects.
