Start Date – June 6, 2011 (flexible) - End Date October 30, 2011(flexible)
This is a full-time 35 hour a week Stipend position through October 30.

This position is key to the success of the event and agrees to daily and weekly management through the event and for 4 weeks after the event.

This Position agrees to a background check; will sign the NOVACO Confidentiality; agrees to adhere to the NOVACO Code of Ethics and will support the mission and work of NOVACO.
Applicant should believe in the NOVACO mission to support and create opportunities for victims of domestic abuse. Applicant should be flexible and able to work in a multi-cultural team environment.

*Brief outline of responsibilities.
• Create a marketing program for Benefit Dinner - Saturday October 1, 2011.
• Follow marketing timeline including Press Releases, Newsletter stories, website updates
• Marketing Intern will create a plan that enlists and involves, Special VIP Guests, Volunteers and Board members
• Create letters for VIP Sponsors including Senators, Congressmen and local Board of Supervisors
• Create publicity page for website – incorporating logo’s.
• Responsible for Online Ticketing input and creating pages using our software
• Responsible for Businesses Sponsorships to support the Dinner
• Responsible for letters and follow up calls to businesses requesting Auction Item donations.
• Responsible for setting up interviews with local press, editing stories from volunteers and releasing pictures and statistics
• Responsible for NOVACO Face Book/Blog updates relating to the Benefit dinner.
• Responsible to track marketing and donations on spreadsheets
• Responsible for Thank you letters for donations and tickets sales.
• Team meetings weekly with updates, progress toward goals and new ideas.
• Responsible for keeping a log of duties
• Responsible for e-news releases and event articles.
