About the Opportunity

SimulTrans seeks highly motivated and capable individuals who can develop substantial relationships with executives of Fortune 1000 companies. While working with SimulTrans, you will learn a great deal about international business and how a technology-driven professional service firm operates. The internship will start in June 2011 and last through the summer; hours will range from 20-40 hours per week. We prefer interns who can work full time but will consider interns who can work 20-40 hours/week. Typical applicants for this opening would be college graduates or current students.
Qualifications

• A passion for technology and international cultures
• Excellent English communication skills, both in writing and in speaking, in a business context
• Exceptional telephone skills (cold calling or inside sales experience a plus)
• Advanced knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word and Excel, Lotus Notes (training provided), and Internet research applications
• A self-starting, charismatic and industrious attitude
• Localization Sales experience (helpful but not required)

Duties

• Work as part of a dynamic sales team
• Research and identify promising international companies
• Initiate relationships with executives, either by speaking or writing
• Produce pricing spreadsheets and proposals
• Increase the revenue and profit of client relationships
• Undertake a project during your internship of mutual interest to you and the company

Compensation

This is considered an unpaid summer internship. A $500 stipend may be available to reward exceptional work at the end of the internship. In rare occasions, for example, if the candidate is superb and able to work with us on a full time basis in the fall after this internship, we may provide additional compensation. If you wish to receive academic credit for the internship, it will be your responsibility to make arrangements with your school.
Additional Information

We believe that this internship opportunity is special because you will get good training, learn a lot, and have a high degree of autonomy. You will be assigned areas of the U.S. and Canada that you will investigate and seek to penetrate, allowing you to learn about sales and how a company operates.
