Teaching Associates/Interns (W. Los Angeles)

Archer is currently seeking full-time Teaching Associates starting August, 2011. These individuals should be recent college graduates with a desire to teach in either the Middle School (Grades 6-8) or the Upper School (Grades 9-12). The ideal candidates will be passionate about working with and learning from young people and will have an active interest in a variety of subjects, including:

• Latin
• Math
• Humanities (English/History)
• Proficiency in any 1 area is sufficient - Candidates do not need to teach ALL of these subjects

Teaching Associates teach under the direction of talented faculty, support students outside of the classroom, and provide administrative support as needed. Candidates should a sincere interest in student-centered, collaborative, and inquiry-based teaching methodologies and a desire to teach in a one-to-one laptop classroom.
